Celebrity Trainer Sherin Poojari Has This to Say About Fitness Resolutions in 2019
The start of the New Year is all about making new resolutions to make improvements to your life. Fitness is that aspect of our life which is often ignored by most people, and hence aiming for better fitness in the New Year is always one of the top resolutions people make.
In essence, fitness is something you need to focus on throughout your life. Although it is possible that your efforts towards achieving your fitness goals may not yield the results you expect, but that doesn’t mean you stop living healthily altogether. That is exactly what celebrities do. Most of them take care of their health throughout their life, and many simply follow the advice of their fitness trainer.
Sherin Poojari is one of those fitness trainers who has many celebrities as his clients, and thankfully he has provided us with some useful tips on how to remain fit. Sherin, who is 37 years of age, has worked with some very big names in entertainment industry, including Madhuri Dixit, Shilpa Shetty, and Celina Jaitley.
Sherin is a certified trainer with expertise in fitness training, Judo, Tai Chi, Kickboxing, weight management, and strength exercises. Here are few of his fitness tips.
Love What You Do
Sherin is of the opinion that fitness should not be something that you resolve to achieve at the beginning of the New Year. The thing is, once you make a resolution that you are going to stay fit this year, you subconsciously accept the perception that achieving fitness is something very difficult to achieve, and it is understood that we don’t like doing tasks which are very difficult to achieve.
Unless you love what you are doing, your motivation towards performing a task will only falter over time. Hence, to stay fit in 2019, you need to find motivation to remain fit which you can sustain throughout the year. With the right motivation, you are more likely to dedicate more of your energy towards your fitness goals, and you will not be able to give up easily as well. So, instead of making resolutions for fitness, it is better that you revise your motivations and make fitness your passion. Otherwise, it is very probable that you will lose your fitness goals by the end of January.
It is not necessary that you follow the instructions of any fitness trainer or commit to strict workouts at the gym. Your fitness goals can easily be achieved through various activities such as yoga, cycling, or swimming. If you like any of these activities, then make sure you commit to doing them on a regular basis. When you will love what you are doing, then chances that you will stick to it and continue doing it in the long term become strong.
Use Technology
There are many smart watches, fitness watches, and polar monitors available in the market which can show you general statistics about your current fitness levels. These smart gadgets are equipped with features which help you monitor your heart rate, blood pressure, steps that you have taken during the day, and calories that you have burned, with or without any physical activity. Because of technology, it has become much easier to set fitness goals for yourself according to your changing fitness statistics.
By using such smart technology, you are also able to make a better assessment of your exercising capacity. Sherin is of opinion that one mistake individuals make is that they compare their activity levels with others. According to him, every person is biologically different. If someone is running 5 kilometers per day, it is not necessary that your body is also capable of doing the same. You have to plan your activity level according to your body’s requirements, as if you try to do something that you physically cannot sustain doing on a daily basis then it will only demotivate you from doing it at all.
Schedule Your Sleep And Diet
With all this physical activity, you need to make sure you are consuming the adequate liquids, a balanced diet, and getting sufficient sleep. Without paying attention to these factors, you will not be able to achieve your goals, which can easily lead to demotivation.
If possible, develop a sleep schedule for yourself which gives you at least 8 hours of sleep every night. For a balanced diet, try consuming meals which are more on the organic side. Stay away from processed foods wherever possible.
