Are Your Hands Shakier Than Usual? Here Is What May Be Going On!
Although this is not something that may be too noticeable, if you are wondering why your hands are not as stable as they used to be in the past, then maybe you need to pay a little more attention to the underlying cause.
While it’s perfectly normal for your hands to shake when you are nervous, such as when you are giving a big presentation or feeling too emotional, at other times you should be digging a bit deeper to find out why your hands are shaking without any reason.
The first thought that rushes through the minds of many people when they realize that they have shaky hands is that they might be suffering from Parkinson’s disease, a medical condition that has devastating consequences.
But most likely you are not suffering from Parkinson’s, as there are many other conditions which also have the symptom of shaky hands.
Possible Scenarios
There is a chance that you have nothing to worry about, as the vibration that you are noticing is part of the natural movement which is inherent to the human body. According to experts, the human body does not remain still, but in fact, vibrates very slightly.
This vibration becomes more noticeable once you stretch out your arms, or if you are performing a very detail-oriented task which requires extreme precision.
Another possible reason why your hands may become a bit shaky is that you are experiencing extreme emotions, such as anxiety. For example, if you have an upcoming exam that you have been preparing for quite some time, chances are your anxiety has elevated, causing your body’s natural vibration to increase.
This is in line with the other responses given by our body to such an emotional state, such as a quickened heartbeat or sweating.
Could Be an Issue With The Blood Sugar Level
Apart from the psychological causes, your hands may be shaking more than normal nowadays because of the fact that you are running low on sugar levels in your blood. This is a response generated by your brain to a lack of adequate nutrition, as it is the brain which ensures stability throughout the body.
According to medical experts, the brain needs to be treated differently compared to other organs, as it needs ready-made nourishment as and when needed because otherwise, it begins to malfunction and cause problems throughout the body.
The brain’s response to lack of nourishment varies from person to person, and in the case of those individuals who are more prone to experiencing tremors, there is a high chance they would experience hand tremors.
Another very common reason why your hands are shaking is probably lack of sleep. According to experts, our brain needs adequate time to rest and recover from all the wear and tear it sustains throughout the day.
For adults, the recommended amount of sleep is at least 7-9 hours, as anything less may disallow the brain from repairing properly and hence place it at a greater risk of malfunctioning.
